Ronald attended the Sorbonne University in Paris in 1979. Ronald enjoys his work as a senior internal auditor and remains astounded he has worked for the same large third party administrator for 27 years. Ronald loves to travel and is always looking for the next big adventure. Ronald has been involved with North End Players for almost 24 years spending time directing, acting on stage and all tasks back stage. He is positively giddy about “putting on a show”.

Fred Chomowicz -
Fred is an architect who “retired” to Portland from New York in 1998 after a long career in New York City. In addition to his professional architectural work, Fred taught at the Cooper Union School of Architecture in New York for many years. He commuted between New York and Portland for 8 years until he was hired by Zimmer Gunsul Frasca, Architects in Portland.
Fred is married to Lucille, the former Art Director for children’s books at Simon
and Schuster. Fred and Lucille are both graduates of Cooper Union, have three children
and four grandchildren. Their daughter, son-
Fred’s acting career started in college and continued with many community theater plays and a TV show in the New York area. Fred has appeared in many North End Players productions and one HART production in Hillsboro, OR. In addition to architecture, art and acting, Fred loves to travel.

Tim Luke -
Tim is a retired elementary school teacher (with certification to teach theater in the secondary schools). He is also a former police officer and a life long resident of Vancouver, WA. When not busy with NEP he loves to travel to far away places, with his lovely wife Barb, and his dog "Poncho" takes Tim for a daily walk.
Tim joined The North End Players when you could actually buy a McDonald's burger for 15 cents and 8 Track tapes were popular. It's been awhile. Tim wears many hats for North End Players "actor," "director," "production manager," and as he says, the most important "floor sweeper." Tim has directed many plays for NEP among his favorites are "Heaven Can Wait," "Play it Again Sam," and "Arsenic and Old Lace." He has also had major roles in "Cheaper by the Dozen," "Born Yesterday," "God's Favorite," and "The Odd Couple."

JJ Harris -
JJ is a draftsman by trade, but has owned three different businesses since his early
twenties. With jobs as a draftsman, salesman, teacher, professor, and now management,
purchasing and advertising, JJ feels that he can bring a lot of skills to North End
Players. He currently owns DesignWorks, an architectural-
JJ and his wife, Sue, live in nearby Vancouver, WA with their two children. Sue has her own business choreographing dance and drill routines mostly for high school band programs throughout the North West.
JJ just recently returned to the theater and is very happy to make North End Players his current home.

Ruthanne Kendrick-
Ruthanne was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. Her love of theatre blossomed in high school as she participated in all the school plays. She was accepted into Auburn University’s theatre program and studied acting there for two years. She graduated from University of Alabama in Birmingham with a BA in English Literature, minor in Art History. Ruthanne then turned her attention to raising her two children and became interested in education. Finding a cohesive fit with Waldorf education, Ruthanne moved with her family from the deep south to Eugene, OR where she pursued a teaching certificate in Waldorf Education. Part of that program included participating in a play and the theatre candle was once again lit inside her. Upon moving to Portland three years later, she began teaching theatre camps in the summer for grade school children. She adored combining her love of theatre and teaching.
Since then, Ruthanne has taught children’s theatre classes at the Portland Village
School where she works as a kindergarten teacher and more recently at St. Andrew’s
on North End Player’s stage. Her classes for children are held in trimesters: September-
